Canada Day!! Acton and Glen Williams communities host Canada Day celebrations. Canada Day in The Glen is a Halton Hills tradition. Enjoy or join the parade and events all day. While there, bring your kids and drop by the St. John's United Church fish pond - just one of many things to enjoy at the Canada Day Celebrations in the Glen. St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church, 537 Main Street, Glen Williams, will host a chicken barbecue and fireworks. Meanwhile, Downtown Acton celebrates Canada Day at Prospect Park with its annual Concert in the Park. Starting at 6 p.m.until dusk, local performers will be featured followed by the fireworks display put on by the Acton Firefighters Association.

Innerscapes art group have been creating art from their individual art journeys. Bea Dumbreck, Herta Hajek, Tiziana Manierka, George Perdue, Eileen Simpson, and Jan Zimmerman wil show their season's creations at the Main Street Inn until July 12. The Main Street Inn is open Wednesday through Sunday. Innerscapes will continue to create images in the same theme as the work shown at the Main Street Inn and show it at the Halton Hills Cultural Centre. The gallery is open daily except Sundays and Mondays for regular library hours. Meet Bea Dumbreck for an artist talk and tour on July 7 at 7:30 p.m.
