Monday August 2

*  Le Tour de Terra Cotta is a cycling race for everyone whether you're looking for a first time cycle race experience, or are a seasoned veteran.  Races include one for youth ages 8-16, an adult short course of 27 km and an adult long course of 108 km.  For details check out www.letourdeterracotta.com

Sunday August 8

*  Geothermal Energy Information Session and Tour: HERE! Saturday August 14-Sunday August 15

*  Tens of thousands of cyclists have taken to their bikes at the RONA MS Bike Tours.  This year it's from Acton to Waterloo.  Beginning at Prospect Park in Acton at 7 a.m. you will take in the rural scenery as you head to the University of Waterloo for an overnight stay including a beer garden and dinner before returning to Acton the following morning.  To register, $40, contact Heather McEachern at 1-800-268-7582, heather.mceachern@mssociety.ca, or go to www.msbiketours.com

*  See classic cars from the 1920s to 1983 in a full on-street juried car show set to great music at the Georgetown Rock'N'Roll classics, 5-11 p.m. in Downtown Georgetown.  300 classic and vintage cars line Main St. S., wander the streets and listen to the live music of Rolly Rocker and the Hemi Heads while admiring the cars and soaking in the ambience.  Enjoy windowshopping and stop for a meal.  For more info about the Car Show please contact Lee Martin, 905-877-9550.  This event raises money for the Georgetown Hospital and is hosted by the Georgetown BIA and organized by the Rock'N'Roll'N'Classics Committee.
